Being that quality is such an important part of a great listening experience, decent equipment is integral to your rise to the top. Most of us would prefer to have a music studio at home as it’s more cost effective in the long run and allows us to work non stop.
From my experience of having my own studio for a year in 2013-2014, I found the best value for money microphone in my opinion is the SE Electronics Z3300a. It is affordable at £160.00 ($247.00) and produces a great sound recording, perfect for any home studio. In today’s era, finding the z3300a is pretty difficult but 2 perfectly astute alternatives for your music studio are the SE Electronics SE2000 MK 2 or the SE Electronics X1.
With the Z3300a or the other alternatives, you’ll need a phantom power which is where the Focusrite Scarlett Red 2i2 USB comes in. It’s easy to use, compact, portable and cheap at only £99.00 ($149.99).
The last piece of equipment I’d recommend is the Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro 250 Ohms headphones. They have a great frequency response, the parts are replaceable and seem to be an industry favorite. All great factors if you’re looking to depart with your hard-earned £101.00 ($190.25).
As for mic stand and pop filters, you can find many for a decent price online. I hope these narrow down your choices and help you out.
Peace & Love!
